Growing up, the daunting question of “What will I do with my life?” kept popping up. I didn’t know what I wanted to be; all I knew was that I wanted to do something creative that would keep me happy.



 

In high school, I had to take an elective and most of my options didn’t interest me. A friend showed me something she had made in her elective, & I thought, “That’s cool; I’ll take that class and make pretty things”. That class was Graphic Design, and from the start, I knew I was home.



I knew this would be that something that would keep me happy for the rest of my life. Fast forward to present day, and I still feel like I’m home every time I begin a new design challenge.



 

Graphic design is my true passion. I save well-designed brochures and fliers to reference their excellent use of gestalt principles. I tear up at the sight of a stunning ultra light sans serif font. I go to sleep with thoughts of solid, grid-oriented layouts in my head, and it’s all these thoughts that propel me out of bed every morning.
